Hope you all had a good night tour. Dennis sms-ed to remind me to pray. But I was about to sleep. Went to sleep at 9 pm last night – was so tired.
I am now in Narita Garden Hotel (Saturday morning 8.20 am), which is near to the Narita Airport. This hotel is much bigger, with better facilities.
Yesterday was really cold. It was cloudy throughout the day and the temperature must have been really low. The area is very rural, with traditional Japanese houses.
I was telling you about going to the Ginza area to look at the ASEAN Rural Community Plaza the previous night. It is located in the Tokyo International Forum (something like our Esplanade, but much grander). The architecture is fantastic. The ceiling is so high, and it invokes a sense of awe and reverence when you are inside. You dare not make any noise in such a setting.
After that, I walked around the Ginza area. It’s the main shopping, and most expensive, area in Tokyo. The buildings are all beautifully lit up at night. Look at these pictures – aren’t they awesome?
I won’t put too many words in this blog. Dennis complained that my last posting was too wordy.
One other thing I want to tell you. I stepped into a HMV store in Ginza – huge!. Then 5 minutes away was another HMV store, also huge. Wonder how they manage with the rental.
Will be back in Diamond Hotel this evening, when I will post this blog with the pictures.
