2011 Programme Planning And Christmas Celebration

The event was held yesterday, 18 CDec 2010.

Quite unexpectedly, the steamboat dinner was a big success. There was no electrical power failure, and nobody got tummy aches from the self-cooked food. Thanks to MDM for the steamboat soupbase, the rice and other pre-prepared food, to Mr Norman for the great ice-cream treat, to Jared’s mother for the log cake which served as the birthday cake for the December birthday people, to Joel, Jared and Clement for the Christmas edition of the singalong, and to the squads for the effort in making the sandwiches. Philemon and Corinthians won the sandwich-making competition - probably because they added veggies, which made their sandwiches the healthier choice.

Before the big makan, Pastor Andrew shared a devotion reminding us about God’s love during this Christmas season. This was followed by the 2011 programme planning. It was great to see many Boys volunteering for the different tasks, although some had to be coerced into accepting the jobs. The balloon volleyball game led by Rayner was really short. Everyone who brought a gift for the gift exchange got a gift in return.

After the sumptuous steamboat dinner, everyone relaxed in the MPH and watched Taken – a movie about a father’s love for his daughter, which reminded us about God’s love for us. The December birthday celebration after that included the log cake and Mr Norman Lim’s ice cream treat.

Thanks to officer Justin and his committee led by Jared for organising the event so successfully.
