Founder's Day Cycling At East Coast Park

We were daring today, and did not have our usual Founder's Day parade, awards presentation, promotions and dinner. Instead, we went for cycling at East Coast Park this afternoon.

The day started with rain in the morning, and stopped by mid-morning. Some of the Boys came to church earlier for their guitar hobby badge. After singalong and devotion (by pte Orlando and officer Dennis), we started off for East Coast Park.

The weather was very hot when we got there. The organisation was much better than the last time we had cyling at Pasir Ris Park. The bicycles were all lined up and checked for us. It was a breeze collecting the bicycles, and soon the Boys were off. They played a game of Amazing Race, in which they were given clues (pictures of different places in East Coast Park). They had to ride to the respective places and seek answers to questions posed to them. The teams went to officer Wen Wei for bonus questions about the Founder after they completed their clues. Needless to say, Squad Corinthians won, hands down.

We then gathered at MacDonald's near area C. It was crowded. Almost everyone had meals, to collect the little stamps for the Monopoly challenge. Then it started to really pour. And I mean really pour. God is good - He kept the rain away until we finished our cyling. Also thank Him for bringing us safely back to church, where we had a quick debrief, and left for home. The 2 madams and Daniel gathered the Monopoly stickers - sad to say, no $50,000 prize or a free holiday to Hawaii for us. Yes, it is still the elusive Sentosa Cove that did us in.

Here the pictures. Oh yes, Juniors Shawn, Kai Quan, Joel and Daniel (after their PSLE) joined us too.
