Recruitment Games Day 2009

As part of our recruitment programme this year, we had our Games Day today. Thank God for the 17 Sec 1 Boys who came to join us today. We had the usual mix of very chatty and very quiet Boys. Here are 2 pictures of the Boys. One of them, William, went missing after the squad time when we had our dismissal. Some officers and primers went round the school to look for him. He was one of the most enthusiastic, raising his hand immediately when Captain asked who has decided to join the BB.



During the singalong, there was the usual shaking hands times, and introducing ourselves. Then officer Zhenhui took the devotion, and he shared about True Hope, which can be found in Jesus.











After that, we played station games. See the games for yourselves in the pictures.




















Then we played 2 company level games. First was breaking the balloons, tied around our legs.










Next, it was Dragon Tail – snatching raffia strings slipped into our pants at our back.





Squad Ephesians won overall, followed by Philemon, Solomon, and Corinthians. Prizes for the games included bottled drinks and snacks, which we ate during the squad time.







Before the squad time, Officers Wen Wei, Justin and Captain briefed the Sec 1 Boys about the BB CCA, and gave out consent letters with relevant information for their parents.





Then we had our dismissal. The sea of yellow among the blues is very obvious.



Next week, we will have a normal parade in church, since the school will be closed for the Chinese New Year. We have arranged to meet the Sec 1 Boys at the school gate to bring them to church. Quite a number of them indicated that they want to join us again next week. Thank God for that.
