First Parade

3 January 2009 was a parade of many firsts. Squad Philemon organised the first normal parade of year 2009. We were finally back in Shuqun Secondary School to prepare for our recruitment campaign next week.

It started at 8.15am with our squad inspections. This was our first time formalising it into our programme.


It was also Aravin's first time raising the BB flag.


We had our squad leaders fall in at 8.45am and our muster parade shortly afterward.



Perry led us in a time of singing for the first time. Keep up the good job Perry! :D



We had an hour of drill too. It was a good time practising and recalling what we have learnt last year, after a month of celebrations and fun.





We played Capstan Ball after drill. However, I was so excited I forgot take any pictures of the games sessions. Time flew when we enjoyed ourselves. Cleaning up together as a company was good fun too. Oh, and this time, we finished the whole container of syrup.


We caught up with each other during squad time. We checked on each other to make sure that we had settled well into our new classes and levels.


Our debrief was held in the school canteen.


Lunch was especially enjoyable as I sat together with our graduating batch of boys. We joked and talked about what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go after graduation from Secondary School. All the best boys!
