"God is good". "Praise the Lord".
It had been raining almost the whole week, especially in the afternoons. And heavy most of the time.
I was joking in church before we left that the wet weather programme will be watching "Planet Earth" - nature education in comfort.
MDM checked the NEA website yesterday. The forecast was heavy thunderstorm this afternoon.
And the sky was heavily overcast as we rode the bumboat to Pulau Ubin. It looked like this.
When the vans fetching the Juniors reached the "entrance" to Chek Jawa, it started to drizzle. Samuel told us over dinner that as the Seniors cycled to the "entrance", the drizzle was quite heavy.
After all that, it didn't rain. Isn't God good? Yes, he is.
And He kept us safe too.
This is the only casualty we had - Joshua F's bruised right hand. I didn't ask how he got the bruises.
The other minor "casualty" was Kai Quan, who had a stomachache, thankfully, after we reached back to the main island. He went to toilet at the hawkers centre. Of course, I don't have a picture of that.
It was a fun outing. We saw a lot of things. The Junior Boys were all excited about catching crabs.
If you were not there, ask those who were - about how they enjoyed the outing.
I'll just post some group photos for now (just realised that we didn't take a combined photograph). I'll post the rest later.

Seniors
Interestingly, some of the Junior Boys were asking for the link to the Company blog.
Thanks also to the organising committee, for taking the extra effort to make sure the outing was a success. And also to the church members from the Taman Jurong Cell Group who joined us.
A big thank you to Mr and Mrs Heng - who are very familiar with Pulau Ubin / Chek Jawa. Together, they showed us a lot of things we would otherwise have missed. Mr Heng was our former teacher-in-charge in Shuqun Secondary. Both of them very supportive, and Mrs Heng is still actively involved in one of the Junior Companies.
And special thanks to Mr Heng for teaching some of the Junior Boys to whistle using leaves.
