Pre-Reunion

This evening, Captain, the 2 Mdms, officer Teck Chai and me attended one of the old Boys, Hwa Luen's wedding at the Inter-Continental Hotel at Bugis. It was sort of like a pre-Reunion, as quite a few old Boys, some with their wives and kid, were there too. It was fun remembering the old times. One of them, Chong Yeow, was confused between Jim and me. It really shows how time has flown.

We took the opportunity to distribute the "invitation" cards for our 40th Anniversary Reunion on 13 September. Happily, all of them agreed to attend.

This is Junxian, Zhenhong and David. Together with Hwaluen, they were the first batch of 28th Junior Boys to get the Gold Award. When I had my accident and couldn't go to church on Sundays, the 4 of them would come to my place after Sunday School to keep me company. I can still picture them playing board games on the floor of my hall, with David as the leader.
