Officers-Primers BBQ Fellowship

The officers and primers had a BBQ fellowship tonight at Lakeshore Condominium. Mdm Shirley, who lives there, booked the BBQ pit for us. Thank you, Mdm Shirley.

In the morning, some of the officers went shopping for food. They came back to church and prepared the food and logistics. We met at 2.30 pm in church for a time of sharing before the fun began. Chaplain Anthony and son Elisha joined us. Most of the younger officers and primers shared about their studies. Jiawei, Joshua C and Meng Huat have started their poly studies. Chaplain Anthony shared briefly about the fear of the Lord being the beginning of wisdom. I encouraged everyone to seek God in order to know what we want, to take ownership of the things we do, and to learn to work as a team. After my closing prayer, we picked up the food and stuff, and walked to Lakeshore. A group of us took a cab there with the heavier and bulkier stuff.

There, some guys played basketball, while others played in the pool. At about 6 pm, the primers started the BBQ fire. Captain and me played chefs, joined later by Dennis. We cooked beef, pork and cuttlefish balls. MDM cooked stingray and cuttlefish. It was a really sumptious BBQ.

Big Jonathan, Joseph and Pei En, Jim and Michelle, joined us. It was a good time of eating and fellowshipping. There was so much food left, Captain decided to have an awards ceremony, giving away the leftovers. We gave away 2 plates of chicken wings and cuttlefish balls to the security guards there.

Here are some pictures showing the fun and food. Thank you everyone, for making the event a big success.
