More pictures from Tokyo

Yesterday, the weather was nice. I went to Ueno and roamed around Ueno Park. The Ueno Zoo is in the Park but it was closed yesterday. Then I went to Ameyokocho - it's a street where they sell a lot of stuff, including food, bags, shoes and what have you. From there, I walked to Akihabara, the electrical district famous for its cheap electrical goods. In a building of 7 floors, called Ishiwara, I saw DVD box sets of movies featuring Japanese stars I grew up with. Only know one Japanese name - Akira Kobayashi. The other guy is called Ishihara something. Interesting, but too expensive too buy.

Meng Soon, let me know when you are arriving in Tokyo. I will show you around, ha ha ha.

This is inside the Ueno station, with the next picture taken outside.

Ameyokocho

These big red apples cost about S$3 each.

The big water melons are about S$12 each. I miss my fruits.

Further down outside Ameyokocho, I saw this vegetable stall. The prices appeared cheaper than elsewhere, and there was a non-stop crowed buying from the owners.

The predecessor of our $1.99 store - the 100 yen shop. You can get anything you want for 105 yen (including tax).

And lastly, Akihara.
